A couple camping in the Scottish Highlands is brutally killed by unseen attackers. Meanwhile, soldier Cooper fails to join a special forces unit after refusing to shoot a dog and is returned to his unit. Four weeks later, Cooper and his squad are sent to the Scottish Highlands for a training exercise, where they discover the remains of a savaged SAS unit. The squad rescues a wounded Captain Ryan, who hints at a mysterious threat.

As the squad retreats, they are ambushed by werewolves and take refuge in a secluded house owned by the Uath family. With nightfall, they realize they are surrounded by werewolves and must hold out until sunrise. As their situation becomes desperate, they discover that the werewolves are the Uath family, and Megan, a zoologist who had helped them, is also a werewolf.

In a final stand, Cooper and Sergeant Wells fight to survive. Wells sacrifices himself by blowing up the house, killing the werewolves. Cooper confronts the werewolf Ryan, stabbing him with a silver letter opener and finishing him off with a gunshot. Cooper, along with Megan’s dog, emerges as the sole survivor. His story is reported in a tabloid under the sensational headline “Werewolves ate my platoon!”
