“Ghosts of Mars” (1996)
“Ghosts of Mars” is a 2001 science fiction horror film directed by John Carpenter and starring Natasha Henstridge, Ice Cube, and Jason Statham.
The film is set in a futuristic Mars where a group of space police officers, led by Lieutenant Melanie Ballard (Natasha Henstridge), are sent to transport a dangerous prisoner, James “Desolation” Williams (Ice Cube), to a remote outpost. Upon arrival, they discover that the outpost has been overrun by a mysterious and malevolent force.
The plot reveals that ancient Martian ghosts have possessed the colonists and are using them to wreak havoc and attempt to reclaim their planet.
