Black and Blue (2019) is an action-packed thriller directed by Deon Taylor. The film follows the story of Alicia West (played by Naomie Harris), a rookie African-American police officer in New Orleans. After returning to her hometown following military service, she finds herself caught between her duty as a police officer and her connection to the community, which views the police with distrust.

The plot kicks off when Alicia inadvertently witnesses corrupt narcotics officers, led by Officer Malone (Frank Grillo), executing a drug dealer.
