In 1979, police discover a grisly scene at a rural Texas farm, with multiple dead bodies and something horrifying in the basement.

The story flashes back 24 hours to a group led by aspiring adult film star Maxine, who arrives at the farm with her boyfriend Wayne, fellow performers, and a director to shoot a pornographic film. The farm is owned by an elderly couple, Howard and Pearl. Pearl, who becomes fixated on Maxine due to her resemblance to Pearl’s younger self, secretly watches the filming and later tries to seduce Maxine.

As the night progresses, Pearl begins a killing spree, starting with RJ, the director, after he rejects her advances. She kills Wayne with a pitchfork, while Howard locks Lorraine in the basement, where she discovers a corpse. Howard shoots Jackson after luring him to the lake, and Pearl murders Bobby-Lynne by pushing her into an alligator-infested pond.

Maxine escapes Pearl’s advances, frees Lorraine, and confronts the elderly couple. Howard dies of a heart attack after being startled by Lorraine’s twitching body, and Maxine kills Pearl by running over her head with a truck. Maxine drives away, and it’s revealed she is the daughter of a televangelist. The police, finding the aftermath, speculate the film footage will reveal a “fucked up horror picture.”
