Critic After Dark: Gran Torino (Clint Eastwood, 2008)
After his teenage neighbor, Thao Vang Lor (Bee Vang), is pressured by a local gang to steal Walt’s prized 1972 Gran Torino as part of a gang initiation, Walt catches him in the act. Initially furious, Walt gradually forms an unlikely bond with Thao and his family, especially his sister Sue (Ahney Her).

Walt takes Thao under his wing, helping him find work and teaching him how to be more self-sufficient. As their relationship deepens, Walt becomes a protector of the Vang Lor family, confronting the gang members who continue to harass them.
